PT. TML (Tritama Mitra Lestari) Energy held a event which is TMLEnergy Green Challenge a competition for the public to conduct the goal of saving nature. In this competition there were three competing categories, namely Breakthrough Products for Solar Energy Electricity Applications, Water Management with High TSS Characteristics and Mud Use Value, and Sludge Treatment of Mine Water Remaining to Have Added Value.

This competition has a total prize of Rp. 450 million attracted the interest and enthusiasm of the participants. Registration of this competition is open from 20 November 2017 – 16 February 2018.

The ITB FTTM student team named Ganesha Arkanaka competed in the category of Water Management with High TSS Characteristics and Mud Use Value, and submitted a proposal with the title “TSS Treatment using Bioflocculant”. The members are Cornelius Ferian Ardiano, Anindityo Nugra Arifiadi, Dina Andini Sri Hardina, Victor Suganda Rulie, Rahmat Firdaus and supervised by Ir. Siti Khodijah Chaerun, M.T., Ph.D and assistant counselor for Nani Maulidia Islahah.

“Of the several teams that registered, in March we were announced in the grand 4 final and received Rp.8 million for the prototype,” said Cornelius, Chair of the Arkanaka Ganesha Team. “And on Friday, August 10, 2018 we were announced as the first winner and received a prize of 100 million rupiah.”

“We hope that this competition idea can be implemented in Indonesia, especially the development of bioprocess because in addition to being cheap in construction and environmentally friendly.” Hope Cornelius.
