Joint Summer School Program 2018 on Geohazards (ITB-KIT-ANU)
1-14 April 2018: FTTM-ITB has held a Summer School Program which was also attended by 2 well-known campuses: the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Australian National University (ANU). In this activity, a total of 35 students from 3 different universities were joined, 19 students from ITB, 10 students from KIT and 6 students from ANU. Activities led by Dr. Mohammad Rachmat Sule lasted for 2 weeks by taking the topic “Introduction to Geohazard”, which included a comprehensive introduction to the subject of geohazards – especially earthquakes, tsunami and volcanic eruption – from the point view of geoscience. The program involved several excursions to Tangkuban Parahu volcano, Lembang Fault, Kamojang Geothermal field, Kamojang craters and Guntur volcano observatory. Cultural and social activities are included in the program. This program is also supported by World Class University (WCU) Program of ITB.
