Global Geophysics
The Global Geophysical Expertise Group (KK-GG) is one of the nine Expertise Groups located at the Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering (FTTM), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). KK-GG, driven by curiosity about Earth processes, has a study that focuses on better understanding of Earth’s subsurface structures and dynamics. The field of geophysics developed in the Global Geophysics group of expertise includes science that includes: seismology, geodynamics, imaging of the earth’s structure using tomography, geomagnetic, volcanic and geothermal, seismic hazard, deformation of the earth using the Global Navigation System (GNSS), seismic data processing, and the development of methods for studying the earth GG KK also develops science related to earthquake and tsunami disaster mitigation and volcanic eruptions, as well as scientific development for the environment, agriculture and infrastructure. read more
